L’ART PEUT-IL DESCENDRE DANS LA RUE ?
We ask ourselves the following question : can art come
down into the street ?
Street arts stage artistic activities that lead to the
emergence of new cultural activities. The leading purpose of street arts is to promote
and to make more dynamic territory, to take young people toward the formation, then the
promotion of their art and successfully combine conviviality and exchange, good mood and
pleasure. After all is said and done, to create, to arose, to surprise, to improvise…
Street arts explore and invent new territories. Take graffiti, for example : these
inscriptions are everywhere, graffiti or tags or fresco have monopolized our urban
landscape, graffiti artists sign undergrounds, trains, walls… these young artists,
vandals or delinquents claim graffiti like an art, while for others they are an act
of vandalism and degradation. To the young people it's as good a way as any other to
make their name travel and to be considered by a maximum of people. Street arts are
often passions ; to graffiti artists it’s a good way to pit themselves against the others.
Street art is a way to express oneself which concerns more and more artists nowadays.
